TEEM

Theological Education for Emerging Ministries (TEEM) 
Wartburg Seminary now offers an exciting new curriculum for the preparation of candidates for ordained ministry through the TEEM program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  The TEEM program provides alternative preparation for those who will provide pastoral ministry in emerging ministry contexts throughout the church.

LSPS

Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest (LSPS) 
The Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest (LSPS) is a program of Wartburg Theological Seminary and the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. Located in the diverse environment of Austin, Texas, LSPS seeks to prepare pastors for ministry in the rapidly changing and pluralistic world that is the mission field of the emerging church of the 21st century. LSPS educates women and men for ordained ministry through TEEM (Theological Education for Emerging Ministry). Through this program, students develop skills and sensitivity to serve the church in the midst of ambiguity, transition, and diversity. Its particular areas of emphasis include: ethnic specific ministry, inner city and rural ministry, renewal of congregations in decline, and innovative mission starts.  Click here for more details.

Certificates 

Certificate in Hispanic Ministry
Wartburg Theological Seminary, through the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest, offers a certificate in Hispanic Ministry. This certificate is earned by the completion of eight courses, taught in an intensive format, normally at the Austin, Texas extension site. Instruction for these certificate courses is offered four times per year in either English or Spanish. The certificate is designed both for lay leaders and pastors, all those desiring to improve their skills for engaging in Hispanic Ministry. Click here for more details.

Certificate in Theological Studies
Wartburg Theological Seminary offers a Certificate in Theological Studies. This certificate is earned by the completion of eight courses, taught in a combination of online and on campus intensive courses, covering Bible, church history, theology, and electives. The certificate, for lay leaders and pastors, is designed for participants to work at their own pace, taking one, two, or three courses at a time. Click here for more details.

Certificate in Youth and Family Ministry
Youth and family ministry requires new and innovative approaches. In partnership with Vibrant Faith Ministries, a certificate in youth and family ministry is offered for adult leaders, volunteers, clergy, parents, youth and seminary students who have a passion for forming vibrant faith among young people. The program begins with and ends with a face to face intensive, with webinars and reading in the months between. Click here for more details.

Advanced Certificate in Youth and Family Ministry
This Certificate is designed for clergy and laity who want to go strengthen their ministry. The Certificate program consists of twelve courses, combining foundational subjects such as Bible, theology, and church history with two courses in the area of youth & family ministry. Program requirements are completed through a combination of online and intensive courses, allowing students the flexibility to work at their own pace, taking one, two, or three courses at a time. This is a great option for those who have already completed the Certificate in Youth and Family Ministry and wish to study further. Advanced Certificate in Rural Ministry
Certificate is designed for clergy and laity who are new to rural ministry and/or want to strengthen their ministry in small town and rural churches. The Certificate program consists of twelve courses, combining foundational subjects such as Bible, theology, and church history with rural ministry and community development. Program requirements are completed through a combination of online and residency courses, allowing students the flexibility to work at their own pace taking one, two, or three courses at a time. This Certificate is designed for clergy and laity who want to strengthen their ministry leadership. The Certificate program consists of twelve courses, combining foundational subjects such as Bible, theology, and church history with two courses in the area of specialty.
