"Who Is Jesus Christ for Us Today? The Significance of Bonhoeffer for the Witness of the Church"
Dr. Craig L. Nessan is Academic Dean and Professor of Contextual Theology at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He teaches courses in the areas of contextual theology, pastoral theology, and theological ethics. He holds degrees from Michigan State University, Wartburg Theological Seminary, and the University of Munich. His theological interests include ecclesiology, theological ethics, liberation theology, and family systems theory.

"Keeping Company With Luther for Walking as Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in the 21st Century"
Dr. Persaud will lift up some of Luther's primary insights into God's call through the Spirit to faith and life in Jesus Christ. For example, in his day, in a different world from ours, Luther spoke of: "the priesthood of all believers"; the Christian is simultaneously righteous and sinner; God always comes to us "clothed"; God reveals who God is by hiding Godself. What did he mean? How might Luther speak to us today?
Dr. Winston Persaud is Professor of Systematic Theology at Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa. He is a graduate of the University of St. Andrews, Scotland (Ph. D., 1980), Wartburg Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity, 1977), and the University of Guyana (BA, 1974). He is a native of Guyana, where he served his home congregation, Redeemer Lutheran Church, prior to joining the Wartburg faculty.
