Certain courses may be taken at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary (UDTS), located less than a mile from Wartburg Seminary.

Cross-registration, available to students of each seminary, is a frequently exercised option at no extra charge. Students should compare the UDTS academic calendar to Wartburg's when considering this option. A Wartburg student may take no more than six (6) credits of coursework at UDTS in any given academic term. Normally a UDTS course is taken as an elective. If a student desires to take a UDTS course to fulfill a Wartburg distributional requirement, or to replace a required course normally taught at Wartburg, they should consult with the Registrar before registering for the course and may be required to seek the permission of the Academic Dean and/or the faculty division responsible for a Wartburg requirement.
