Richard (Rick) Rouse brings much experience and expertise to the WTS board. He has been ordained as an ELCA pastor for 36 years and has served as pastor of congregations in California, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. Rick has served on several boards and committees including the Pacific Lutheran University Board of Regents.
He served as former president of the Society for Advancement of Continuing Education for Ministry and former chapter president of Association for Lutheran Development Executives. He is currently the president and board chair of the North American Association for the Catechumenate, adjunct faculty at Luther Seminary and part-time staff for the Grand Canyon Synod.
Rick resides in Minneapolis where he is a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and associate member of Desert Streams Lutheran Church in Sun City West, AZ. This will be Rick’s seventh year serving on the board.
What has serving on the WTS Board of Directors meant to Rick?
Serving on the board allows me the opportunity to serve and support an institution of the Church that I love. I am passionate about our mission as a seminary.
