Wartburg Seminary forms resilient graduates in intentional Christ-centered community to lead a changing church, proclaiming the gospel with a Lutheran voice, nurturing flourishing communities shaped by holy curiosity, creativity and joy, community where all belong, dignity is honored, and hope rises from death into resurrection life.  Community is at the heart of theological formation at Wartburg, and formation in in community is what sets our degree and certificate programs apart.

 In the next three years, Wartburg is focused on the following priorities:

• Developing a competency-based formation program for Synod Authorized Ministers (SAMs) and other lay leaders rooted in a baptismal understanding of ministry.
• Reimagining the Master of Arts curriculum to meet the evolving needs of church leaders.
• Strengthening faculty development to enhance Wartburg's signature "one classroom, three modalities" learning model.

Faithful stewardship is essential to sustaining Wartburg Theological Seminary's mission for generations to come. 

Through thoughtful planning, responsible financial management, and meaningful partnerships with donors and supporters, we are building a strong foundation for the future while ensuring today's students have the resources they need to thrive.

Over the next three years, Wartburg will:

• Maximize and diversify revenue streams to support our mission.
• Expand financial support to make theological education more accessible for all students.
