Wartburg Theological Seminary is located in Dubuque, IA which is known as the “Masterpiece on the Mississippi” featuring a rich history and natural beauty.

Historic downtown retains some of the city’s significant Victorian brick architecture, and the bluffs offer breathtaking views of the tri-state area.

Wartburg Seminary’s campus is located in a welcoming residential neighborhood and features housing for single, married, and students with families.

Dubuque was ranked #12 and was the only Midwestern city in the top 20 and one of just two Iowa cities to make the list.

Dubuque sits on the Mississippi River at the tri-state juncture of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Directions to Campus

Traveling to Wartburg Seminary going west on Route 20:

  • Take exit Fremont/Grandview
  • At the light, turn right on Fremont
  • Going south on Fremont past Wartburg buildings and turn left into the driveway behind the seminary

Traveling to Wartburg Seminary going east on Route 20:

  • Take exit Grandview/Fremont
  • Going south on Fremont the first stop sign will be in front of Wartburg Seminary
  • Continue on Fremont past Wartburg buildings and turn left into driveway behind the Seminary
