For degree programs the academic year consists of a fall semester of four months (September-December), a one-month interim (January), and a spring semester of four months (February-May). Students begin each semester with Prolog Week on the Wartburg Seminary Campus, which allows for intense study, launching semester courses, and face to face formation in community. Students participate through the residential, distributed learning or collaborative learning programs throughout their semester courses. The January Interim typically finds students participating in their cross cultural requirement through an international or domestic group course, their rural ministry requirement, on campus course offerings, or independent study.
