Master of Divinity (M.Div.) Distributed Learning Program

Wartburg offers a distributed learning opportunity for students who are hoping to engage in seminary education at a distance. The program combines online coursework (through either live video interaction in the classroom or through video streaming and online forums) and on-campus intensive classes (one intensive per semester) where students and faculty participate in community both online and face to face throughout the course of study. Distributed Learners may work with the seminary toward internship placement close to home and students are free to choose CPE (clinical pastoral education) sites that will work best for their situation. Normally, students will complete the Master of Divinity degree in four years.

*Wartburg Theological Seminary is a member of SARA (State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement) which provides us with authorization to provide our distributed learning programs in many states. As you discern potential enrollment through distributed learning, please let us know so that we can be sure that we have time to use due diligence to acquire authorization/licensure in your state of residence, if necessary.
