David Berg to speak at Wartburg Theological Seminary on Faith and Business
DUBUQUE, IA – October 27, 2014 – The entire community is invited to join Wartburg Theological Seminary as they host David Berg on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 5-6:30 p.m. A soup supper will start at 5 p.m. and Berg’s forum on Faith and Business will start at 5:30 p.m. in Wartburg Seminary’s Weiblen Commons.
David Berg is a native of Fargo, North Dakota. He currently serves as President & CEO of American Crystal Sugar where he has worked in various roles since 1987. He is a Lutheran lay leader and he has been invited to Wartburg Seminary to reflect on the intersection of Christian faith and business. Mr. Berg is a leader in both national and international agribusiness and has recently shepherded his company through one of the most significant labor lock-outs in recent US business history. He will explore the challenges of living one’s faith in daily life.
Wartburg Theological Seminary is one of eight theological schools of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Wartburg is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and educates women and men to serve the church’s mission as ordained and lay leaders. Established in Dubuque, Iowa in 1854, Wartburg Seminary has now begun its 161st academic year.
