“Mud in our Eyes: Seeing Our Way Forward” Presented by Rev. Heidi Neumark
October 18, 2015 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Neumark will delve into the connection between “(Jesus) spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and smeared the mud on the man’s eyes,” (John 9:6) and her belief that smearing the mud of reality over our eyes, however unpleasant it may be, is the beginning step in coming to see where we have been and where we need to go. Neumark intertwines this reality with her own story of exploring her family’s hidden Jewish history and church history during the Holocaust.
Neumark’s presentation will be followed by a worship service at 8:30 p.m. in Loehe Chapel.
