Spanish Language and Hispanic Ministry (Level I Intensive)

Join us for our Summer Intensive I on the campus of the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest, beginning Sunday evening, May 28, 2017 at 5 p.m. and ending Friday, June 2, 2017 at noon.

Presenters

Rev. Dr. Javier (Jay) Alanis – Border-Crossing in History; the role of the Virgin of Guadalupe as icon of resistance and solidarity.

Rev. Al Rodriquez – Al is an Episcopal priest with 25 years in a dual language parish. He explores the English dominant Latino demographic and the new immigrant experience.

Dr. Regina Musselman (Socio – Linguist) – Espanol liturgico: Phonetic Practice, Accents, Grammar, Scripture Reading, Songs, Prayer, Writing, Special Celebrations.

Lynette Parkhurst – Executive Member, Episcopal Latino Songbook Project.

 

Registration

$800.00 without lodging; includes daily continental breakfast and lunch with dinner on Memorial Day.

All other meals are on your own. Restaurants within walking distance.
