Dave Assmus is a 1978 graduate of Wartburg Seminary. After his first call to Peace Lutheran, Albert KS, he was introduced to fundraising while serving as the Director of Sugar Creek Bible Camp, Ferryville, WI. Other fundraising opportunities opened up that included working at Carthage College, the Dakota State University Foundation, Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota, and prior to starting at Wartburg, at Lutheran Services in Iowa. Dave and his wife Ruth have two adult children.

Josh Guyer is native of Northeast Iowa, a graduate of Simpson College, and a double graduate of The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia earning a Master of Arts in Religion and a Master of Sacred Theology.  Before joining WTS Mission Support, he worked in financial services at The Glenmede Trust Company in Philadelphia managing relationships with high net worth families and individuals as well as institutional non-profit endowments and foundations.

Diane Brondyke has been involved in the ministry of development for the past 15 years. Prior to coming to Wartburg, Diane worked for the Alzheimer’s Association, the Sisters of Charity, BVM (Dubuque, Iowa) and the Sisters of the Presentation (Dubuque). Diane was born and raised in Guttenberg, Iowa and is an alumna of Iowa State University. She also holds a Certificate in Fundraising Management from The Center of Philanthropy at Indiana University. Diane is the proud mother of three daughters.

Kim has been with the Mission Support Department since April 2004. Her first position in Mission Support was Gifts Processing Coordinator. Since then Kim has served in many roles within the department and is currently serving as Data Specialist.  Some of her duties include keeping the mission support records up to date, coordinating the Senior Banner and Home Congregation Solicitation and processing gifts given by donors to the seminary.  Kim and her husband Dan have two children.

Erik Preston has been employed at Wartburg Seminary since June of 2014.  Prior to his work at Wartburg, Erik was Program Director at Sugar Creek Bible Camp.  After growing up first in Hanska, MN and then Brandon, MN, Erik graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN and also studied wooden boat building at the North West School of Wooden Boat Building in Port Hadlock, WA.  Erik’s wife Megan is a Master of Divinity student at Wartburg Seminary.
