The Master of Arts degree program is designed for students interested in theological study at the seminary level for personal growth, students seeking one of the lay rosters of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, international students seeking theological study at the Masters level, or students preparing for further graduate study. Students seeking to serve in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America should consider beginning the candidacy process with their synodical candidacy committee. Wartburg Theological Seminary is a worship-centered community of critical theological reflection where learning leads to mission and mission informs learning. Wartburg Seminary provides a high quality academic education and has a dedicated and excellent faculty and staff to prepare leaders for God’s mission in the world through the church.
