Dear Wartburg Community,

With joy and anticipation, I welcome you to the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year at Wartburg Theological Seminary! Whether you are a student, alum, supporter, or friend of Wartburg, we are grateful for the many ways you are part of this vibrant community of learning, faith, and formation.

The start of a new academic year always carries with it a sense of promise and possibility. As our September theme—“A Month of New Beginnings”—reminds us, this is a time to look forward with hope, courage, and expectation, trusting in God’s Spirit to guide and sustain us in the year ahead.

On Monday, September 1, new and seasoned students alike will gather under the white tent at the Castle, as we begin the year with worship, fellowship, and the blessing of our shared journey. I encourage you to explore the pieces shared below, as together we prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits for the new beginnings that await us.

Thank you for your prayers, support, and participation in the life of Wartburg Seminary. Together, we look forward to another year of discovery, growth, and transformation.

Grace and peace,

Rev. Dr. Kristin Johnston Largen
President
Wartburg Theological Seminary
