Accreditation

Wartburg Theological Seminary is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, 10 Summit Park Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15275-1103, (412) 788-6505, www.ats.edu, and by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association, 230 South La Salle Street, Suite 7-500, Chicago, Illinois 60604, (800) 621-7740, www.hlcommission.org. The seminary is approved for the degree programs it currently offers: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, and the Master of Arts in Diaconal Ministry. The seminary is approved by ATS for a Comprehensive Distance Education Program. The seminary was reaccredited in 2018 for a ten-year period.

Wartburg Theological Seminary participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements

 

State Authorization and SARA Participation 

 

Wartburg Theological Seminary is authorized to offer distance education programs to students in other states through its participation in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).

 

Participation in NC-SARA allows Wartburg Theological Seminary to provide distance education to students in member states and territories without seeking individual authorization in each state.

SARA Student Complaint Process

 

Students are encouraged to resolve concerns or complaints by following Wartburg Theological Seminary’s internal Grievance and Appeals Procedure

 

If a complaint cannot be resolved internally:

 

Wartburg Theological Seminary’s participation in NC-SARA authorizes the institution to operate under SARA policies and standards governing distance education in other member states and territories.

The Wartburg Theological Seminary Annual Campus Safety and Security Report & Annual Fire Safety Report are published in September annually.
