The Wartburg Master of Divinity

One Degree, Three Options

The Master of Divinity degree program is designed for students preparing for pastoral ministry. Wartburg prepares pastors who are grounded in their confessional identity as Christians for service in local congregations.

The Wartburg Master of Arts

One Degree, Lots of Flexibility

The Master of Arts programs are designed for a wide variety of students: those who are preparing for additional graduate study, international students, and those wishing to deepen their theological knowledge for personal growth.

The Wartburg Master of Arts in Diaconal Ministry

Empower, Equip, and Support the Church.

The Master of Arts in Diaconal Ministry degree program is ideal for those leaders who feel called to serve on the boundaries of church and world seeking to empower, equip, and support through ministry and mission of the church within society. The degree would equip leaders in carrying out a particular service in one or more areas of specialization such as education, administration, outreach and evangelism, pastoral care, music and the arts.

Theological Education for Emerging Ministries

The Theological Education for Emerging Ministries (TEEM) program provides alternative preparation for those who will provide pastoral ministry in emerging ministry contexts throughout the church.

Journey Together

The Journey Together Program (Competency Based TEEM) program offers alternative preparation for those who will provide pastoral ministry in emerging ministry contexts throughout the church. This program can be completed in English or Spanish.

Wartburg Certificate Program

For Continuing Education or Faith in Daily Life

A certificate from Wartburg Seminary demonstrates either basic or advanced mastery in a specialized area of ministry or theological studies. The certificates are offered in Theological Studies or Hispanic Ministry. The Advanced Certificate is offered in Rural Ministry, Theological & Congregational Leadership, and Youth & Family Ministry.
