The Rev. M. DeWayne Teig

Instructor in the Pastoral Arts & Advisor for TEEM

Faculty Biography

For a third time I am back at Wartburg Theological Seminary serving as a part-time instructor  and advisor for students in the TEEM program; I attended first as a student, then later called as a staff person, and now semi-retired, I’m engaged at the seminary in this newly formed position.

My spouse, Kathy, has also worked at Wartburg while we were previously here in Dubuque, and she is now serving in the President’s office at Clarke University in Dubuque. She continues to bring a great sense of humor and ongoing joy into my life.

Our sons, Ian and Drew, are married and they and their spouses and children reside in Colorado Springs, CO and Verona, WI. We love to see them all (especially the four grandkids) whenever we have opportunity!

My hobbies include gardening, music, camping, reading, and tinkering – much of that time on our house on Coates Street in Dubuque.

It is my pleasure and a delight to be working with the students, faculty, and staff at Wartburg Theological Seminary where the goal of our learning is to continue advancing and enriching God’s compassionate mission for the world.
